DSPCA supply wishlist
With a serious equine crisis in Ireland, the DSPCA have had an increase in the number of horses which they rescued from cruel and neglectful situations. Many of the horses that the DSPCA have rescued this year have been very badly treated, often found starving, suffering from illness or have been badly beaten. Looking after these horses and ensuring that they are given the proper care that they need is extremely costly and they are appealing for help so that the horses that are rescued can be properly cared for. Helping really is quite simple- if you own a horse, you might have horsey things that you no longer use which could be of real help to the DSPCA. Why not have a root through your horse supplies and see if there is anything that you could donate and help to make this situation better!
Below is a list of the items that they are appealing for:

Newspapers (no shiny magazines)
Towels with no holes or rips. (We cannot accept old blankets, duvets, pillows, sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers as we are unable to wash and dry them quickly)
Animal Carriers
Dog Leads & Collars
Cat Collars
Packets of Baby Nappy Bags (used as pooper scoopers by our dog walkers)
Plastic Dog Beds
Food Bowls - stainless steel only please so we can sterilize them
Grooming Brushes & Combs - for all types of animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc)
Large Car Sponges
Dog Coats (we have some dogs like greyhounds that need dog coats in winter)
Electric hair clippers
Rabbit, Gerbil and Hamster Food
